I am a one-of-these-days retiree who just bought 22 acres of land, need to rototil 2 acres, plant 200 trees, build a 1700' fence, create and maintain a 1200' driveway, remove some snow, and bushhog the rest. After reading this forum I started looking into the B7800/2910 vs. the L3130. Any comments or helpful hints which one to buy? I am leaning towards the L3130.

With the property size I would go with at least 3130 or 3430. ....

In my opinion a l3010 would be just a bit to much for your use.I have 65 acres,1/2 mile drive etc. and my 3010 is perfect for everything I need it for.I would look at the
27/29 series for your size lot.

Save some money! ....

The L3130. Difference was $1300 and dealer delivers with fluid in tires. I liked the larger frame, power, niceties as my wife will occasionally drive it as I work with it. For the money, it was the best deal. I probably only needed the 30HP but as Tim Allen always says: more power!! ....

Good choice. The smaller frame tractors can be limiting when needing additional loader or 3-point attachments.
